CASE STUDIES

CHALLENGE: Find the right story first. Then earn the right to attach a brand to it.

Ultrarunner Sufiya Sufi set out to run 480 km from the Galwan War Memorial to the Kargil Vijay Memorial - every kilometre a tribute to soldiers who died defending India's borders. We weren't hired to direct a story. We were hired to find the one brand that deserved to be inside it. We tested Sufiya's story against a shortlist of brand identities until one answer stood out: Mahindra Logistics. Not the biggest name in the room - the most honest fit. Their values and her endurance were speaking the same language. What we refused to do: No script. No staged moments. No ad-shaped ad. We built a witness account instead - real running time, swollen legs, pre-dawn darkness, and the exact look on Sufiya's face at hour six of a seven-hour day. The result didn't read as marketing. It read as proof.

INSIGHT: Some places aren't unreachable because they're remote - they're unreachable because nothing with wheels can get there.

Nongriat sits far below the Meghalaya plateau, connected to the world above by nothing but a punishing staircase - roughly 3,000 steps down, and the same 3,000 back up, every single time. No roads, no vehicles, no shortcuts. We followed Delhivery's riders as they made that descent on foot, parcels in hand, then climbed back up carrying nothing but the knowledge that the next delivery was already waiting. No staging, no narration explaining the difficulty - the steps did that on their own. What we walked away with wasn't footage of a delivery. It was 6,000 steps of proof that "India's largest integrated logistics network" isn't a tagline — it's a rider who treats a 3,000-step descent as just another stop on the route. Meghalaya is connected through Delhivery, one staircase at a time.

CHALLENGE: Launch Mahindra's first all-electric SUV into a market that doesn't trust EVs to perform when it actually matters.

Every EV launch fights the same headline objection: range anxiety, cold-weather failure, "it's fine until conditions get hard." Rather than write around that doubt, we built the entire campaign on top of it. We paired the XUV400 with an elite ultra-marathon athlete and took both into Lahaul, Himachal Pradesh - temperatures down to -20°C, altitude up to 15,000 ft. The athlete integration gave the film a credible human stake; the conditions gave the car no room to fake it. Then we engineered the proof point a launch film usually can't manufacture on its own: an attempt at the record for maximum distance covered by an EV in sub-zero temperatures, built into the campaign from day one rather than added after the fact. The record attempt succeeded - a new benchmark for EV distance in sub-zero conditions, set in front of the camera as the campaign's centerpiece. For a brand introducing its first EV, that's not a stunt sitting next to the launch film. It's the launch film's entire argument, proven on ice instead of claimed in a script.
